Gonna brag a little.

When Amanda was 14 I got her a laptop. I thought she would mostly use it to waste time playing games. (That's what I used to do.) But instead, within a couple of months, she wrote her first novel. Amanda is my favorite author.

Lucy, I've said it before and I'll say it again: Someday, when I grow up, I want to be just like you.

Eira, you little rat.😉 You have been so much fun.

But when Eira was a perfect, beautiful 10 year old girl she got sick. She spent time in a children's hospital and we didn't know if she would make it. When you almost lose something you feel more grateful for it.
