(These are things I posted on facebook and want to also save here in my journal.)

I am thankful for my Dad. He was a traveller who showed me the world, the good and the bad. His personality stands apart from anyone I have ever known. Unbelievable achievement and potential alongside unfortunate folly. He seems to me an extraordinarily beautiful example of what it means to be human. Also, he wrote my favorite poem.
